Feeling bloated? Feeling like you have the worst metabolism in the world? Breaking out? All of these can be fixed by changes in your diet and eating the right foods. One of my favorite blogs that have been helping me with my lifestyle change is lifewithnature.com and this post has inspired me to make this post.
To Lose Weight Eat (Source):
1.) High Fiber Foods - This is probably the most obvious weight loss nutrient. Fiber helps absorb the “good stuff” and eliminate the “bad stuff” from your body. High fiber foods include fruit, veggies and whole grains.
2.) Cranberry - The high amounts of Vitamin C in cranberries help the liver efficiently break down fat. Cranberry also has a natural diuretic in it that flushes out excess water and toxins (hence why it’s used for UTI protection).
3.) Cinnamon contains antioxidants that suppress hunger and helps control blood sugar. It helps your insulin levels from surging which causes storage of excess body fat. In addition, cinnamon helps control high bad cholesterol and triglycerides.
To Clear Your Skin Eat (Source):
1.) Avocado contains essential oils and Vitamin B. Niacin (a.k.a. Vitamin B3) contains an anti-inflammatory that clears up your skin.
2.) Almonds - High in Vitamin E, almonds are good for your skin. Vitamin E has moisturizing properties. In addition, almonds have antioxidants prevent or slow down aging and protect against skin damage.
3.) Cottage Cheese - While dairy is good for bone and teeth health, cottage cheese also contains Selenium. This mineral combines with Vitamin E and act as an antioxidant duo. This combo prevents skin cancer and helps combat dandruff.
To Stop Bloating Eat (Source):
1.) Pineapple contains a digestive enzyme called papain that helps with proper digestion and with the breakdown with protein.
2.) Peppermint Tea - Peppermint helps with relieving gas and also helps ease the weight loss process.
3.) Celery - The high water in celery helps flush your system and relieve the bloat.
